Cryptic Studios has purchased by Perfect World

China-based company, Perfect World has bought the creator of the superhero MMORPG City of Heroes and Champions Online, Cryptic Studios.

As already in the know, Atari to sell Cryptic Studios is a developer of Champions Online and yesterday a company that is enough we know that Perfect World announced that it has acquired 100% shareholding in Cryptic Studios from Atari to the value reached 35 million Euros.

Cryptic Studios first developed the Cityof Heroes / Villains to NCSoft before selling it in 2007. After the studio released Champions Online and Star Trek Online, and is currently developing Neverwinter, a game-themed series of Neverwinter Nights.
